RUFUS M. by Eleanor Estes

My third grade literacy group just read Rufus M. by Eleanor Estes, a wonderful family story about growing up in the 1940’s. Here are some pictures the kids drew of their favorite scenes.

The girls all agree that they LOVE Rufus M. from the very beginning to the very end. They think that other kids should read it, too!

    Girls,
Wonderful illustrations! When I help my students learn how to make sense of what they are reading, we often times talk about or draw pictures of movies that are playing in our heads as we read! Great to know that you all use that same comprehension strategy. Good work, Mrs. Raymond!

    Dear girls ,
I like your drawings. I think you are great artists! I want to read that book.
