Alec, a 5th grader in Mrs. Morin’s class who loves to read, wrote this review of one of his favorite series:

The Percy Jackson series is a great series of bravery, danger, and friendship. It is about a 12-year-old boy who one day finds that he is the son of the all-powerful Poseidon. It starts out when he gets expelled from yet another school. When he gets home, his mother decides to take him to the beach. But in the night, his best friend Grover comes over as a satyr, saying something is following him! They all hop in the car and drive as fast as they can. After awhile, something splits the roof of the car! They crash! Worst of all, some big, giant monster (the minotaur) is hot on their trail! Grover falls unconscious so they have to drag him up the hill. But then the minotaur comes raging in and snatches up Percy’s mom and squeezes her until she explodes! If you want to know more, please read the books (1,2,3,4, and 5). READ NOW before the new movie comes out!
